Despite the record setting heat wave gripping the area the Peconic Bay Region Club came out in force to honor America on her birthday. Member cars from the 20's to the 70's took part in the Annual Parade down Southold's Main Street. Hundreds of spectators lined the street and waved flags and cheered on the participants. After the Parade the club gathered at Triangle Park in Route 25 in Southold for its annual picnic. As usual event Coordinator John Skabry had an ample supply of hamburgers and hot dogs and various club members supplied side dishes and a delicious watermelon for desert.
